In the .blend file, I've added an Array modifier with a constant off-set. The pole line will just move in a straight line. The pole and transformer are set up and pivoted in relation to one another for correct alignment. They're two separate objects, which lets the transformer have its own array modifier. I've configured it to double the length of the pole, but you could increase it to triple the value for a longer distance between the transformers.
Enough details to make it a convincing part of your scene.
Works great in mid-ground or background.
